 Types & Options of Rusd

Options of a Rusd

  • Charity Rusd: Expenditure on charitable causes
  • Progeny or Familial Rusd: Expenditure on the progeny and family of the Settlor to protect the estate from frgmentation
  • Mixed or Varied Rusd: Expenditure on both charitable causes and the Settlor progeny, family and friends

Types of Rusd
Life Rusd: created by the Settler during his lifetime with specific instruction of how to distribute the returns after the Setter passes away.

Testament Rusds: created in pursuant to the terms of the last will and testament of the Settler. Such trusts protect the estate from fragmentation for at the time of death ownership is transferred to the Trust which takes over the management of the estate in accordance to the terms of the will. In Islam, however, a Rusd must be structured during the life time of the settler. Revocable/Irrevocable Rusds: Al-Aman Company does not provide Revocable Rusd services.
